Alan Sanfey
Who is Alan Sanfey?
Alan Sanfey’s work focuses on how people make decisions in social settings. Factors such as trust and reciprocity are vital for the successful functioning of society, not only at interpersonal levels such as opening a door for someone else, but these influences also underlie complex agreements between companies and countries. Research by Alan’s group demonstrates that emotional factors such as guilt are important motivations behind these kinds of cooperative situations.
Alan Sanfey is Principal Investigator at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior at Radboud University Nijmegen.
